2014 Beer Festival List

Grey Trees Brewery – Aberdare
Afghan IPA – 5.4%
The newest in the Grey Trees family.

Darkstar Brewing co – Partridge Green, West Sussex
Solstice – 4.2%
Brewed with 100% pale malts to produce a very clean taste and a bright golden colour. This beer is bursting with summer flavours from a large dose of crystal hops and freshly ground coriander which is added at the end of the boil.

Waen Brewery – Llandidloes
Pamplemousse (4.2%)
Big, fruity, grapefruit, smooth pale ale. Scrumptious

Chilli Plum Porter (6.1%)
A dark, velvety smooth porter with luscious plum flavours and a chilli warmth.

Tiny Tebel – Newport
Hadouken (7.4%)
This is their amplified IPA. Massively hopped with a combo of 3 American hops.

Brecon Brewing  – Brecon
Three Beacons (3.0%)
Pale golden IPA remarkably full flavoured and extensively hopped, a beer that truly defies it’s strength. Newly awarded Champion Bitter of Wales.

Spitting Feathers – Chester
Dark velvet mild (4.0%)
A tasty, dark, mild ale. An easy drinking beer full of smooth, roasted and nutty flavours.

Pipes – Pontcanna
Smoked Lager (5.4%)
The crispness of a lager infused with the meatiness on smoked malt. And yep, we’ve got it on cask- A rarity!

Arbor – Bristol
Triple Hop (4.0%)
Their refreshing and easy drinking session beer, brewed with three carefully selected hop varieties, Chinook, citra and galaxy.

Red Squirrel Brewery – Potten End, Hertfordshire
Redtail Citra (4.2%)
Dominant citra hop aroma producing a floral, fresh style with citrusy overtones and a smooth satisfying mouth feel.
Mantle Brewery – Cardigan, Ceredigion
Dark Heart (5.2%)
This tasteful and delicately crafted porter won bronze at 2014 regional SIBA Awards. Rich with a hint of spice, beauty!

Otley – Pontypridd
Motley Brew (7.5%)
American style double IPA. Big hop aromas and high bitterness giving a classic IPA mouth feel.

O8 (8.0%)
Strong, weighty, slightly sweet golden beer.

The Wild Beer co – Somerset
Fresh (5.5%)
Pale ale made with northern and southern hemisphere hops.
Punchy hop character with an appetising bitterness and a crisp dry finish.

RCH – Weston Super Mare
Firebox    (6.0%)
Last years Lansdowne Beer Festival champion! A reddish deep brown coloured beer which is a deceptively drinkable strong bitter with a fine combination with citrus hops and cherry fruit bittersweet flavour giving a strong dry bitter finish.

Crafty Devil Brew Co – Cardiff
Alexi Lalas (6.2%)
This new, local craft brewery make their debut with their first American red ale.

Tiny rebel – Newport
Rocksteady (5.5%)
Teaming up with Hogan’s Cider to produce this hard cider. A still, slightly cloudy, traditional cider, a guaranteed thirst quencher!

Orcherd Pig – Glastonbury, Somerset
Naval gazer (6.0%)
A tropical touch follows an initial cider richness with grapefruit and pineapple flavours and a clean citrus finish.

Explorer (4.5%)
A bittersweet richness of cider apples with a sweetness of
ripe fruit and dark autumn berries.

Gwynt Y Ddraig – Pontypridd
Dog Dancer (6.5%)
Light straw coloured cider with a medium dry, smooth, crisp, slightly sharp characteristic.

Autumn Magic (4.0%)
Bursting with blackberry fruitiness.

Ancient Warrior    (6.0%)
The dry of the Gwynt Y Ddraig ciders.

Westons – Ledbury, Herfordshire.
Rosie’s Pig (4.8%)
Easy drinking traditional cloudy medium dry cider

Country Perry (4.5%)
Made from perry pears matured in oak vats to develop strength and traditional character.
